Michael L. Meadows, M.D.
Dr. Meadows obtained his Medical school prerequisites Concord College after serving 6 years as a U.S. Marine. He then attended medical school at Marshall University and graduated in 1994 where he was awarded the Edwin G. Black award for excellence in Family and Community Health. Dr. Meadows was selected for an accelerated residency program in Family Practice in his third year of medical school, completing his first residency in Family Medicine in 1994 serving as the Chief Residency. He then entered private practice in Huntington WV providing full spectrum primary care, to include obstetrics, pediatrics, adult and geriatric medicine. While in private practice, he continued to serve in the military as a U.S. Navy Reserve medical officer. Following 9 years in private practice, Dr. Meadows was called to active duty in the U.S. Navy in support of the Gulf wars. After serving 3 years in Family Medicine at Annapolis Health Clinic, Dr. Meadows began his second residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. Following completion of this residency, he stayed at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth and completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology. During his fellowship, Dr. Meadows rotated through the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and Duke University.
Following his training, Dr. Meadows continued his career in the Armed Forces serving as head of Musculoskeletal Radiology, Chief of Diagnostic Radiology and Head of the Department of Radiology at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. While serving in the armed forces for more than 26 years, Dr. Meadows has provided radiologic expertise for people of all ages and walks of life, to include special forces personnel national leaders.
Dr. Meadows is an expert in musculoskeletal radiology with a passion for sports imaging, who excels in evaluation of orthopedic injuries. Dr. Meadows is a member of the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Meadows lives in Woodbridge, VA with his wife Robin.
