The above table compares the average charges for imaging tests at local imaging providers to the self-pay discounted rate at Progressive Radiology. Your actual out-of-pocket costs will depend on several factors, including whether you qualify for a discount, whether the procedure is covered by insurance, and, if so, whether any deductible, co-insurance or other limitation applies.
Insured Patients:
For those patients with health insurance, your insurance plan will reimburse Progressive Radiology for its services. There may be a small amount due from you that is known as the “patient responsibility”. This amount will vary between patients, depending on your insurance plan. Your patient responsibility may include a deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance. A deductible is a payment made by the patient to cover medical services. Once a deductible is met, the insurance plan will cover the remaining amounts owed on medical services for the remainder of the year. A co-pay is a payment made by the patient to a medical provider at every visit and is due at the time of service. This co-pay is usually a fixed fee (for example, a small co-pay may be $20.00 per visit). A co-insurance is similar to a co-pay but is usually set as a percentage of the service provided (for example, 20% of the contracted rate for the test). The co-insurance is due from the patient at the time of service. The remaining amount is billed to the insurance carrier.
In these economic times we realize that every dollar matters, and that you want to use your health care dollars wisely. At Progressive Radiology we offer imaging services for two to three times less than competing hospitals and lower rates than other outpatient imaging facilities.
Self-Pay Patients:
If you do not have health insurance, we provide discounts and payment plans. We offer a discount from our standard rates, with self-pay discounted rates up to 70% off our standard charge. Please call any of our locations to get more details on our payment plans and self-pay rates in your area.
